Our Goal: Forming Humans
Our goal is for the education and formation of the whole child. Not simply for the purpose of informing their brains and filling them with facts, but for the right formation of their souls and the cultivation of virtue, into human beings created in the image and likeness of God. While knowledge and content are important, making a student fully human, in reflection of Christ, is paramount and requires grace, discipline, virtue, and humility.
“Gloria Dei est vivens homo."
“The glory of God is a living human being."
~St. Irenaeus of Lyons
We want our children to know the good, to love the beautiful, and to live the truth. We aim to develop this by losing sight of neither the community and family as a whole, nor the individuals they are comprised of as we aim to care for their souls, and help them to grow in virtue and learn to see things as they really are.
In Summation: We hope to provide resources that we pray can be both a steadying anchor as well as a springboard for continued collaborations, offerings, and fruitful growth that flows out of these aims:
Offering easily-accessible educational resources that support the Church and families in the formation of our children in the Orthodox faith.
Prioritizing the education of the whole child, for the purpose of restoration, transformation, and salvation within the life of the Church, for the life of the world.
Supporting educational communities as an extension of the life of the Church, anchored in the sacraments, prayer, scripture, fast, feasts, and the lives of the Saints, as we share with each other the gifts we have been so graciously given.
